小学校3年の息子が同級生数人とはまっているコミュニティサイトがある。「ぱどタウン」というもので、その名称の通り、あのフリーペーパーの「ぱど」が運営しているものだ。さすがに登録は親の手を借りないとできないので、ちょっと付き合ってやったが、自分のアカウントも作ってしまった。
自分の家が持て、主にメッセージの交換でポイントをため、各種アイテムや家をそろえていくという無料サービスです。
小学生レベルに受ける程度だろうし、絵も、ついてる掲示板も、いけてないなあと思ってたのだが、いくつか良く考えられている点があった。（わざとじゃなかったら、このエントリーの意味がなくなるなあ。）
友達の家をブックマークする機能がない。ニックネームを検索して訪れることはできるが、ブックマークできないので、掲示板の投稿についたリンクから訪れる。つまり、お互いに掲示板にメッセージを絶やさないようにしなければならない。自然とコミュニケーションは活発になる。
誰かの掲示板にメッセージを書き込むとポイントがもらえる。多くの人の家を訪問しようとするし、メッセージの交換を増やすモチベーションになる。意味不明な嵐のようなメッセージでもポイントがもらえるのは防げるとさらにいいね。
いまどきにしては、シンプルでアバターとも言えないような、こってないサービスだけど、こういうポイントを押さえるだけで面白いサービスになるんだなあと感心。
